Artisan Breads & Sourdough
House sourdough scored with a signature leaf, braided loaves, focaccia and fresh bakes.
Tucked in the basement of Thomson V Two, Cottage Kitchen and Bakery is a cosy little spot for artisan sourdough, a tomato soup people rave about, and all-day breakfast, served with real warmth, at prices reviewers call extremely reasonable.

“lick-the-bowl-clean worthy”
one reviewer, on the tomato soup

Our story
Cottage is the kind of spot you stumble on and never forget. Anne and the team bake their breads fresh, ladle out soup made from scratch, and check in with every guest to ask what they thought. They even slice the bread so it is easier to dip.
It is artisanal food at accessible prices, served with sincerity. Exactly the kind of neighbourhood place worth seeking out.

Kind words
From 100 reviews on Google. People do not usually write essays about a sandwich, and yet.
Stop by for some sandwiches and soups that warm the soul! The tomato soup was flavourful and not watery at all, lick-the-bowl-clean worthy. The grilled cheese sandwich was addictive, there's some magic in the white bread, which paired well with the melty cheese. The boss lady was very friendly and checked in with us while we were eating. Head straight to B3 to visit this hidden gem!
A little gem tucked away in the basement, but the food and service more than make up for it. The focaccia was toasted to a perfect golden-brown outside while staying pillowy soft inside. The lady running the place was a real trooper, taking orders, serving food and checking on her crew, and she asked every guest what they thought of the food. Artisanal food at accessible prices, served with sincerity, these are the businesses we should support.
An absolute hidden jewel. You're greeted with warmth and kindness, especially from Anne, the main host, who makes you feel genuinely welcome. The breads are nothing short of artisanal perfection, tender and rich inside, with a beautifully crisp golden crust. The sandwiches are perfectly grilled, and the tomato soup is wonderful, rich and smooth. Extremely reasonable prices for the quality.
Take this as a sign to come! The grilled cheese and tomato soup were amazing, and the taro latte was immaculate. Service was very good, they checked up on us after our food and even brought extra chairs for our bags. Everything is under $10. Hope more people give this place a try!
The food, ambience and service are great. Do order their toast because the bread is great. A nice cute little place to chill, there were quite a number of people even on a random Wednesday.
